Environmental Protections Proposed in Trans-Pacific Partnership Legislation

Environmentalists raise impassioned concerns that the Trans-Pacific Partnership [TPP] has no regard for its potential negative effect on the environment, but this could not be further from the truth. The proposed TPP legislation enforces existing Multilateral Environment Agreements [MEAs], elevates TPP Countries’ environmental commitments to US standards, and puts forward new and innovative conservation proposals.
